Zywave Names Rob Stavrou As Group Vice President For Carrier Sales

Rob Stavrou has been appointed group vice president for carrier sales by the insurance company Zywave.

Stavrou transferred to his new post at the start of the month and will be headquartered in the US, the company stated in a statement. Stavrou began his employment with Verisk Specialty Business Solutions in 2014 as sales and marketing director and most recently served as a chief commercial officer (USA and APAC).

Prior to that, he spent approximately 20 years working for Northdoor PLC in the capacities of business development manager and director of the consultation.

In his new role, Stavrou is charged with further extending the value proposition of Zywave’s solutions to insurance carriers in alignment with the success the firm’s solutions have had to date in the broker market.

Over the past few years, Zywave has embarked on an ambitious acquisition strategy to further strengthen its technology platform and allow it to continue to deliver the best possible solutions to its growing customer base. Amongst the notable acquisitions are ClarionDoor (2021), Advisen (2020), and WCL (2020).

ClarionDoor provides intelligent insurance product distribution software for the Property and Casualty (P&C) market, and Advisen is a leading provider of data, media, and technology solutions for the commercial P&C market. WCL leads to change in the industry through its technologies which make it easier to exchange critical information and simplify workflows.

Commenting on his appointment, Stavrou cited the innovation culture and the acquisition strategy as key motivational factors in joining Zywave.
