Marsh McLennan Names Doyle President & CEO As Glaser Retires
With effect from January 1st, 2023, John Doyle will succeed Daniel Glaser as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the world-wide insurance and reinsurance broker Marsh McLennan.
Glaser, who has been the company’s leader since 2013 and was formerly Marsh McLennan’s Group President and Chief Operating Officer, will retire at the end of the year (COO). He originally started working for the company in late 2007 as Marsh’s Chairman and CEO.

Doyle, who succeeded him, was Marsh’s President and CEO from 2017 to 2021 before taking over as Group President and COO in January of this year.
Doyle brings more than three decades of management experience in commercial insurance underwriting and brokerage to his new role. His career in the industry started with AIG where he held numerous executive roles, including CEO of AIG Commercial Insurance, and President and CEO of AIG Property and Casualty in the U.S.
Marsh McLennan notes that upon Glaser’s retirement, he will also retire form the company’s Board of Directors. Doyle will join the Board effective January 1st, 2023.

We are grateful for his contributions to the enterprise over many years.
