Rob Kuchinski, Head of Commercial Insurance at Zurich UK, is being replaced by him.

Hobbs served as the association’s deputy chair before joining the IUA Board in March 2019.

His election took place at a meeting of the IUA Board on 14 December and he will formally assume the role of IUA Chair from Mr Kuchinski on 1 January 2023. He will also be representing the IUA on the Board of the London Market Group.

“Our Board is responsible for setting the overall strategy of our organization and is made up of senior leaders from across the company market,” said Dave Matcham, Chief Executive of the IUA.
