Brown & Company Insurance Services Purchased By Higginbotham
Higginbotham has disclosed that it has purchased Brown & Company Insurance Services, a College Station, Texas-based provider of individual life and health insurance as well as employee benefits. Higginbotham will add Brown & Company as its second location in College Station, increasing its reach throughout the greater Houston region.

Individual clients and middle-market employers are the main emphasis of Brown & Company. The company was first established in 1978 under the name Richard S. Smith & Associates. Bryan Brown and Sharon Brown, the firm’s principals, joined in 1984 and 2002, respectively. They bought the firm in 2006 and established Brown & Company.

“We entered College Station by starting our own office, and we’re building our name by engaging with our community,” said Koby Hackradt, Higginbotham managing partner–Houston. “However, we’ve found that partnering with an established agency goes a long way toward rounding out our services and making our single-source solution available at the local level.
