Gallagher Appoints Huw Turner As Partner In Renewable Energy Team
Broker for re/insurance Huw Turner has been appointed Partner, Renewable Energy at Gallagher as the company grows its renewables unit to meet rising client demand.
Turner will work closely with Duncan Gordon, Gallagher’s head of renewables, and report to executive partner Gavin Tidman.
He joins Gallagher from Price Forbes, where he was a director with responsibility for Africa, Latin America, and Europe, bringing 25 years of expertise in the oil sector.

Prior to joining Price Forbes, he created a risk reduction product backed by insurance for geothermal downhole exploration hazards.
Turner worked on a variety of start-up, development, and upstream initiatives related to project development, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa on electricity and resource infrastructure projects.

He has amassed in-depth expertise of the region’s electricity, environmental, and related regulatory sectors throughout the course of his career.
Turner formerly had positions with Sandpiper Power, InfraCo Africa, CKRe, and Agil. He also spent six years working independently as a consultant for the renewable energy industry, providing business development, advising, and project management services.
