Chedid Re Appoints Uptal Dutt As Portfolio Manager – C&F lines
Uptal Dutt has been hired by facultative reinsurer Chedid Re as Portfolio Manager For Casualty & Financial lines, with a base in Dubai.
Dutt has more than nine years of professional experience. He worked at ICICI Lombard in New Delhi as a Financial & Casualty underwriter for more than five years before to joining Chedid Re.

Prior to joining ICICI Lombard, Dutt worked as a Commercial lines underwriter in the India office of IFFCO Tokio General Insurance Co. Ltd. for more than three years.
“I’m glad to share that I’m starting a new position as Portfolio Manager in the Facultative division – Casualty & Financial lines at Chedid Re,” Dutt wrote on LinkedIn.
A few months after Chedid Re and flood risk modeler JBA Risk Management agreed to a five-year agreement, he joins the Dubai team (JBA).

Through this partnership, the broker will be able to use JBA’s global flood model, which will enable Chedid Re to provide flood risk analytics and catastrophe modelling services to its clients across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.
